At Helix Healthcare Group, we understand that the cycle of addiction affects more than just the individual. This group is designed to educate friends and families about addiction and teach them effective strategies to help their loved one(s) on the path to recovery. Led by two clinicians, this group provides a safe, supportive environment in which to gather information, receive support, and share your journeys.
How this group can support you:
If your loved one is actively engaged in treatment or beginning a treatment program, this group will allow you to better understand the cycle of addiction and learn how to support your loved one in recovery – both during and post treatment.
If your loved one is resistant to treatment or denying that he or she has a problem, this group will enable you to create a plan to guide your loved one in a compassionate manner. In turn, this will help him or her progress to a further stage of recognition, and move closer to the path of recovery.
If you are currently undergoing treatment for addiction, and would like to educate friends and/or family members on addiction so that you can gain the support that you need for recovery.
