Interview with Jesse Hanson on Chatelaine Radio

Chatelaine Radio interviews Jesse Hanson about Helix Healthcare Group and how you can break the cycle of addiction.

Joining us in the Chatelaine radio studio is Jesse Hanson, who holds a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology, and is a Doctoral Candidate for Clinical Psychology. Specializes in Neuro Science, Somatic Body Centered Psychology, and Holistic Healing, and you are here to talk about the brand new center right here in Toronto. Helix Healthcare Group just opened up in Yorkville Toronto, and basically Helix Healthcare Group is a facility where anyone and everyone who’s interested in their own evolution can come for physical and mental balancing, healing, and we integrate everything from psychotherapy to hypnotherapy, life coaching, sound therapy and yoga.

Hypnotherapy, does that work? I know it’s at your center, but really, I’m that person that like hmmmm, really I’m not sure. Yes, so the hypnotherapists that we have on our team are not as much concerned with you turning into a chicken, or going under, it’s more of a therapeutic approach, which is really about more relaxation and connecting to the unconscious mind.

“Helix Healthcare Group is a facility where anyone and everyone who’s interested in their own evolution can come for physical and mental balancing.”

This is the first of this type of center coming out in Toronto. Yes. And we hear about so many celebrities, oh they’ve got this addiction, that addiction, but we all have addictions in our family, people going through stuff. And our philosophy with addiction, is really more about any repeated pattern or thought form, or behavior pattern we’re doing over and over again, that’s destroying our life in some way, we are not able to stop, that an addiction. Whether, we want to be humble and admit it or not, that could be sex, drugs, rock and roll, shopping, digital world.

“I ask myself am I losing connection with the rest of my life, am I losing intimacy in a marriage or family relationships, am I not performing at work, am I so much more concerned about my digital reality than my real-world?”

So let’s look in on the digital world. Facebook, Twitter, social media in general, I know a lot of people cannot cut out of that world, they’re always doing the status updates, and that is a true addiction, is it not? It is, it is definitely, we’ve definitely seen an explosion of the digital world in the last few years and it continues, there’s always a new app, a new this, new that. Really just like anything, how do I know if I’m digitally addicted or not? I ask myself am I losing connection with the rest of my life, am I losing intimacy in a marriage or family relationships, am I not performing at work, am I so much more concerned about my digital reality than my real-world?

Excellent. And how can we get a hold of you on Twitter? Twitter’s @Helix_Health and the website is helixhealthcaregroup.com. Awesome, thanks so much for stopping by Chatelaine radio studio, and opening our eyes and minds to something that is pretty incredible. Thanks so much for having me, I’m honored to be here and come check out our center anytime you want.
